Statement of Beliefs
Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah.
Yeshua is YHWH in human form, sent by YHWH the Father, and the Spirit of YHWH. Father, Son, and Spirit are fully personal, and correctly identified with the name above all names.
Yeshua paid the penalty for our sins so that we can have life.
He wants us to repent of our sins and faithfully trust Him. He wants us to love Him by keeping his commandments.
We believe that no part of the Torah or Prophets was abolished, but are sensible of the fact that Yeshua (Jesus) has not restored it all yet.
We have justice done by the faithfulness of Messiah (Christ), so that there remains no judgment of death against us for sins.
Salvation is offered by God's grace.
We observe the Sabbath on the Seventh Day by resting and worshiping on that day, and remembering God's creation.
We believe in the annihilation of the wicked in the lake of fire, but don't contend for this view unless others contend with us.
We believe in following the biblical food laws, yet are known to get along those who don't unless they try to serve us the wrong stuff.
We believe God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh.
We don't believe in TULIP. Calvinism is a cult. We can get along with them, but through bitter experience have found that they WILL not get along with us.
We don't believe that a person is acquitted of sin when they come to faith. An acquittal is a dismissal of a case based on a finding of no guilt. Rather, we believe that all are found guilty and that a pardon is offered by the Father through the work of Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) on the cross.
We don't believe that heresy which says a person is immediately made righteous in their inner being at conversion. We condemn this Gnostic heresy, and affirm with Paul that "we wait for righteousness by faith" (Gal. 5:5).
Nor do we believe the heresy that it is necessary to think that God views us as righteous to be saved. God does not need to view us as righteous to pardon our sins. In fact, it is better if you acknowledge your guilt, because he sees it all anyway. God will not view anyone as perfectly righteous until He makes them perfectly righteous, and that hasn't happened for anyone this side of the Second Coming yet. Only then will the prophecy come completely true for all true believers, "The LORD our Righteousness."
We do not insist on the use of the sacred name.
We have nothing to do with the errant teachings of the Word Wide Church of God, and have never associated with them. Our background is Seventh Day Baptist, and we still associate with Seventh Day Baptists.
We respect Jewish believers who follow Rabbinic tradition because they grew up in it or are used to it, however, we find it a stumbling block for Gentile Christians who try to embrace it.
We don't think Gentiles must be circumcised at this time, but think they ought to circumcise their sons on the 8th day.
We don't believe the book of Hebrews belongs in the canon. We have a major paper on this for the asking, showing the factual and theological contradictions in the book.
We believe that the resurrection of Yeshua was on the "first of the Sabbaths" after Passover (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1, 19; Lev. 23:11, 15) at "dawn" (Hosea 6:1-3).
We believe that the Churches have corrupted every major doctrine of the Scripture based on key words, "faith", "justify" and "law", and that numerous passages in Paul were deliberately mistranslated and became part of a mistranslation tradition resulting in a rejection by the Church of the Sabbath, feast days, and legitimacy of the Temple and Levitical Priesthood. The Scripture says, "Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD." (Lev. 19:30).
We have nothing to do with the ELS Bible Code Heresy or other forms of divination.
We do not approve of Charismatic excesses.
We believe that baptism is immersion, necessary after conversion, but repeatable for ritual purity purposes.
The biblical ordinances are all in the Torah. The Lord's supper is to be observed as the biblical Passover.
A real Christian should be able to recognize another real Christian even if there are disagreements and immaturities between them. We hold these positions strongly, but extend grace to those who are true believers yet who may disagree, and hope that they will recognize that it is in their best interests in the fear of God to do the same for us.
