Content Use Policy
1. Content on this website may be used as long as there is a proper attribution to the author, Daniel Gregg. That means a link back to the source on this site. It should be a live link, but in certain circumstances, a non-live reference will be permitted, such as printing, or where links are discriminated against.
2. I have experimented with some ways to document this work when a direct link is not possible, such as blogs or forums or places that try to discriminate against proper attribution. The very best reference is just plain:
a: www.torahtimes.org (best) or the link to the exact spot on the website is o.k. too.
b: http://torahtimes.org (equal value to option a).
c: www.torahtimes.org (non-live-- next best).
d: http://torahtimes.org (equal to option c).
e: torahtimes.org (works almost as well as option c-d except, and the one who wants to see more will have to copy it to the address bar with the www). It is also possible to create a non-live link with www.torahtimes.org but you have to be more savvy how to keep it from going live, such as checking off the do not parse links checkbox under a post. If you can do this, it is better, i.e. options c-d).
2.5 Where option a-e is not possible then we should probably avoid that place, since they are only interest in self promotion at the expense of others, which is unethical. What they do is use your unique post or contribution to increase their ranking but denying you and equal chance for the same. So those forums or sub forums which do not allow either should be avoided. There are sites where the moderators of different sub forums discriminate against any links whatsoever. Do not patronize them with Torahtimes material.
2.7 The rest of this post is the reason why the above is necessary.
3. The more important reason for this is that we and our helpers are in the business of defending the faith once delivered to the saints, and in making disciples who know the Scriptures. It was impressed on me yesterday as we went shopping (4/29/09) how utterly wicked and lawless those who call themselves Christians are becoming, and the biblical reasons why. I have already written about this but will do so more in light of that revelation. We are the true faithful who understand our forgiveness in Messiah Yeshua and who do not pervert it into a legalistic acquittal which enemies us as an excuse for continuing to transgress.
4. I never used to be a stickler about links as I depended on search engines to be able to find my work. This is no longer true. The search engine companies have installed duplicate content filtering algorithms into their software. What this means is that material that has no live link to a source is more likely to be considered the original source, even when it is not the original source. It used to be that one could type in a unique quotation of some material and find the source. Sometimes this works, but it is becoming less and less so, for reasons that will become clear below.
5. The main way that people are going to find the work here is by direct links put up by friends of this ministry. We live in an age of irrelevant information overload, as millions of worthless pundits shove the equivalent of snake oil before our eyes. This is a strategy of the otherworld—to so pollute the environment with ideological pollution that anyone looking for truth would sooner choke on it than find the truth by searching. We must continue to depend on God who will exalt the truth in spite of all the enemies attempts to put it down. And at the very end, when He sends the two witnesses, they will be preaching and teaching in a public way all over the world that cannot be ignored. The otherworld will have to resort to murder. The Lord has only begun to fight for His Kingdom. It is a war that will have only one conclusion—the kingdoms of this world will be smashed to pieces by the stone from heaven.
6. We have been attacked on the forums often enough by posters putting up posts or one line snide remarks about this work just to scroll it out of sight. It is evident that their behavior matches their lawless theology. If it were the middle ages they would be star witnesses for the Inquisition. I fully expect that our enemies will do their best in the medium of the internet to try to devalue this work by any underhanded means that they can employ. There is nothing we can do about this. It is bound to happen. All we can do is to make sure that when we use the material that people who discern the good of it can come and find more.
