Daniel's Literal Translation and Commentary
The Renewed Covenant by Daniel Gregg
"Deuteronomy 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen" (DLT: torahtimes.org).
confirmeth not : לא־יקים. This is the key word in the text. God's people had to uphold the validity of the Torah. To teach or preach against it made one a rebel, and brought the curse.
comment1: The text does not condemn the weak who do not know the whole Torah, nor those who stumble. It is only condemning the rebels who rejected the covenant and did not confirm the validity of the Torah. (DLC: torahtimes.org)
