Adam caused Death, Messiah will cause Life
"18 Therefore, then, as one transgression, relating to all men, leads to condemnation, so also one act of justice relating to all men, leads to rightness of life. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man, the many are caused to be sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man, the many will be caused to be righteous." "Act of justice" means Messiah's payment of the penalty.

"Rightness of life" means both the right of life obtained because Messiah paid the penalty and also the faithful becoming right in his life.
