"For he hath made him to be a sin offering for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God by him" (2Cor. 5:21: torahtimes.org, DLT).

a sin offering:  αμαρτιαν. (חטאת).  In Hebrew and Greek the same word mean both "sin" and "sin offering".   This text does not say that Yeshua was made sin.  He was made a sin offering for us.  He did not have sin communicated to him.  Having the sins confessed over the sacrifice does not mean that the sacrifice partakes in the sin.   It is only a way of saying that the sacrifice will pay the penalty of the sins that are confessed over it.

might be made = γενωμεθα = vsad--xp. The subjunctive verb here announces God's hope for us after we have been forgiven and have had our penalty paid.  God's righteousness is written on our hearts by Messiah.  The verb aspect is future, and potential, "might be made", and looks forward to the time when we are perfected in His righteousness and obey all his commandments after He returns.

by = εν = pd.  the Greek here uses the instrumental dative.  Yeshua is the agent or cause by which we will be made righteous.  It is his faithfulness which we must wait for to complete our sanctification (Gal. 5:5)" (torahtimes.org, DLC).
